The Defibtech Lifeline battery lasts approximately 7 years (in standby mode) and can deliver up to 300 shocks. A 9-volt battery is included as standard with this battery.

How do I replace the Defibtech Lifeline battery and the 9-volt battery?

You can easily remove both batteries via the right side of the AED. Pressing the orange button releases the battery compartment cover. You will see the 9-volt battery, with the large Lifeline battery located behind it. To remove the 9-volt battery, you must first remove the large battery. This applies even if the large battery does not yet need replacing. Once you have installed the new 9-volt battery and the large battery, the AED will perform a self-test.

Depending on the type of service agreement you have with AED-Partner, we can replace the battery for you during a scheduled service visit.

Do the electrodes need replacing too?

Do you want to replace the electrodes as well as the battery soon? You can also order new Defibtech Lifeline electrodes from us.

Service agreement

Regular maintenance ensures your AED is always ready for use. You can take out a service agreement with AED-Partner to arrange this maintenance. We will notify you, for example, when the battery and/or electrodes of your AED(s) need replacing. We also provide on-site maintenance within 6 hours following an incident where the AED was used.
