Recently, one of our technicians was out and about in Rotterdam. In total, he installed a Mindray C1A AED in a bright green Rotaid 24/7 cabinet at 17 different locations. A great assignment that we carried out on behalf of the Municipality of Rotterdam, in collaboration with the Heart Foundation.

We installed the AEDs on the outside of public buildings, including several parking garages. All 17 AEDs have also been directly registered with the national alert system HartslagNu. This strengthens the region's AED network and allows citizen responders to locate and retrieve the nearest AED more quickly.

Revelation

On Friday, January 17th, one of the AEDs was festively unveiled by alderman Robert Simons and Hans Snijder, the director of the Heart Foundation. On behalf of AED-Partner, Jan Smale and Rainier Vugts were present. After the unveiling, the Heart Foundation provided a short CPR training, in which alderman Simons also participated. A great day to have been present!

Great to see how much regional and national media reported on the new AEDs. This highlights the importance of AEDs and the great step Rotterdam Municipality is taking for the cardiac safety of its residents!
