Safety Warning for ZOLL Powerheart G5 AED

We recently informed our customers about a safety warning we received from AED manufacturer ZOLL.

ZOLL has issued a safety notice concerning the Cardiac Science Powerheart G5® AED. This concerns both the semi-automatic and fully automatic versions of this model.

On behalf of ZOLL, we strongly advise everyone to carefully follow the instructions in the user manual to ensure the safety and operation of the AED, as is the case for all AEDs.

The Powerheart G5 performs daily, weekly, and monthly self-tests as standard. If an anomaly is detected during these self-tests, the ‘Rescue Ready’ button in the upper right corner automatically turns red. Therefore, it is essential that users of the AED also regularly visually inspect themselves. The ‘Rescue Ready’ button should be green If this is red, it is recommended to contact our customer service immediately.
