AED-Partner is exceptionally proud that our director, Jan Smale, was instrumental in establishing AED-Alert, the precursor to the current HartslagNu. This unique project began in 2007 and has grown into a nationwide coverage system for citizen responders, making it unique in the world. Recent research has shown that the survival rate for cardiac arrest at home has increased from 26 to 39 percent due to emergency dispatchers also calling citizen responders. We are even prouder of the 245,000 citizen responders who ensure that more lives are saved!
