Rotaid Solid Plus AED cabinet – for indoor and outdoor use (3 versions)

The Rotaid Solid Plus AED cabinet is a robust, durable, and eye-catching AED wall cabinet that offers maximum protection and visibility for your automated external defibrillator (AED). Designed for quick access and optimal ease of use in emergency situations, this cabinet is widely used in public spaces, businesses, sports clubs, and schools. Thanks to its round design, intuitive swing door, and large AED logo, the cabinet is not only functional but also instantly recognizable.

The Rotaid Solid Plus is available in three different versions, each tailored to the environment in which you place the cabinet. All versions share the same high-quality basic features, but differ in details for indoor or outdoor use, and in the degree of visibility.

Three variants: for indoors and outdoors

There are three versions of this AED cabinet available:

• Indoor use – item number 1026
  This version is specifically intended for indoor use. The cabinet is completely enclosed and has no ventilation holes. Ideal for office spaces, schools, care facilities, sports halls, and other covered locations where the AED is kept dry and within reach.
• Outdoor use – item number 1683
  This version is suitable for outdoor placement, provided it is in a sheltered spot such as under a canopy or in a carport. The cabinet is equipped with ventilation openings that ensure natural air circulation and thus help prevent condensation.
• Outdoor use with red trim – item number 1689
  This variant is identical to the standard outdoor version in terms of specifications, but features an extra visual addition: a striking red trim (photo 3) around the cabinet. This increases recognizability, particularly in busy or spacious public environments, such as shopping areas, business parks, or campsites.

Striking design for maximum visibility

The Rotaid Solid Plus features a large AED logo in accordance with international ILCOR guidelines , which enhances the cabinet's recognizability. The round shape and clear color scheme ensure that the cabinet stands out from a distance. Thanks to the simple yet well-thought-out design, even inexperienced rescuers know intuitively how to open the cabinet.

Quick and easy to open in emergency situations

In a resuscitation situation, every second counts. The cabinet is therefore equipped with a rotating system that can be opened with one quick movement. The lid remains attached to the cabinet with a strong nylon strap, preventing it from falling to the ground or getting lost. This ensures safe and quick access to the AED without loose parts getting in the way.

Durable, impact-resistant and UV-resistant material

The housing is made of high-quality polycarbonate, which is resistant to impact, UV radiation, and fluctuating temperatures. This makes the case suitable for long-term use, both indoors and (subject to approval) outdoors. The case does not discolor and retains its shape, even after years of exposure to sunlight or temperature fluctuations.

Low-maintenance design without electronics

The Rotaid Solid Plus was deliberately designed without electronics or heating to reduce the risk of malfunctions. There are no batteries or electrical parts that need to be replaced. This makes maintenance simple and cost-effective. A periodic visual inspection is sufficient in most cases.

Application and assembly

This AED cabinet is suitable for wall mounting and comes with the necessary mounting points. Additional accessories are available for mounting on a pole or stand. The indoor version is intended for dry, heated rooms. The outdoor variants can be placed in locations with protection against precipitation. For exposure to cold or direct weather (such as on open squares or unroofed facades), a cabinet with heating and monitoring is recommended, such as the Rotaid Solid Plus 24/7 .
