This battery is designed for the Physio-Control LIFEPAK 1000 AED and uses lithium technology. As a result, it lasts approximately six times longer than an alkaline battery, ensuring high reliability.

The battery has an expected lifespan of 5 years. The AED’s status indicator displays the remaining life using four lights; pressing the grey button below the indicator activates these lights. Physio-Control provides a 1-year warranty on the battery. This battery is non-rechargeable.

Have you used the AED? No problem; every LIFEPAK 1000 battery can deliver up to 440 shocks, so it does not need to be replaced after every use. The AED will notify you when the battery needs replacing.

The AED performs daily tests on both the capacitor and the battery capacity. It will alert you when the battery requires replacement. While you can continue to use the AED for a short time after this alert, we recommend ordering a new battery as soon as possible.

How do I replace the LIFEPAK 1000 battery?

Replacing the Physio-Control LIFEPAK 1000 battery is simple. Push up the yellow tab on the left side of the AED and pull the battery out. You can insert the new battery in the same way. The status indicator (located at the top right of the AED) will then show whether the battery is functioning correctly.

Depending on the service agreement you have with AED-Partner, we may be able to replace the battery for you during a scheduled service visit.

Do the electrodes also need replacing?

If you need to replace the electrodes as well as the battery, you can order new Physio-Control Quick Combo electrodes from us.

Service Agreement

Regular maintenance ensures your AED is always ready for use. You can take out a service contract with AED-Partner to handle this maintenance. We will notify you, for instance, when the battery and/or electrodes of your AED(s) need replacing. We also provide on-site maintenance within 6 hours following an incident where the device was used.
