Cardiac Science is known for its patented Rescue Ready® technology. As the name suggests, this technology ensures that Cardiac Science AEDs are always 'ready to rescue'. To be Rescue Ready®, a Cardiac Science AED automatically checks the battery, hardware, electrodes, and software daily, among other things. If something is wrong, the green indicator light on the handle turns red, and the Powerheart AED emits a tone to indicate that the AED needs maintenance.
Electrodes from Cardiac Science
Because the conductive gel layer of electrodes can dry out after a few years, it is important to replace them in time. For the Powerheart G5, electrodes with a special CPR sensor are available at AED-Partner, which send real-time feedback about your CPR to the AED. We also have special pediatric electrodes in our product range. With these electrodes, the AED automatically adjusts the shock volume to the child's smaller body.
