The Defibtech Lifeline AED 9-volt battery is designed for use with the Defibtech Lifeline AED. It is essential to use this specific (lithium) battery rather than a standard battery from a supermarket; using a non-lithium battery can cause the AED to malfunction. Depending on the battery's serial number, it has a lifespan of either 1 or 2 years.

How do I replace the Defibtech Lifeline AED 9-volt battery?

You can easily remove the battery from the right side of the AED by pressing the orange button. This releases the cover, revealing the 9-volt battery underneath. To remove this 9V battery, you must first remove the main battery pack. This applies even if the main battery does not yet require replacement. Once you have installed the new 9V battery and reinserted the main battery, the AED will perform a self-test.

Depending on the service agreement you have with AED-Partner, we can replace the battery for you during a scheduled service visit.

Service Agreement

Regular maintenance ensures your AED is always ready for use. You can take out a service agreement with AED-Partner to manage this maintenance. We will notify you, for instance, when your AED's battery and/or electrodes need replacing. We also provide on-site maintenance within 6 hours following an emergency deployment.
