AEDs play a crucial role from time to time in both the recreational sports industry and the professional sports world. One example of this is the use of an AED earlier this year during a Belgian practice match of VC Greenyard Maaseik. During that match, one of the volleyball players suddenly collapsed. Thanks to the quick actions of bystanders, he could be resuscitated on the spot with the help of an AED. The resuscitation was successful: the man could be taken to a nearby hospital in a stable condition and soon let his team know himself that he was feeling better.
