Good news from The Hague: the 'Tweede Kamer' is making extra budget available for the placement of AEDs in neighborhoods where they are currently lacking. Initially, €500,000 will be released, with the possibility of this amount increasing to €1.5 million later.

In addition to the placement of AEDs, part of the budget will also be used to recruit and train citizen responders. This is an important step, as quick assistance during cardiac arrest can make the difference between life and death.
